Some people will have something called a bucket list, others just get on and get stuck into anything that gives them some kind of thrill or pleasure, either way no matter how adventurous you are, there are a few watersports you absolutely should try, at least once in your lifetime. Here’s a brief overview of some absolutely mind-blowing watersport experiences you should have a go at;
Scuba diving
Scuba diving is a bizarre experience that allows you to explore the amazing world that lives beneath out sea waters, if you’ve never had a go then you absolutely must try it. You will either love it or, never want to do it again. The experience of being able to breath underwater is a weird one and takes a little while to get used to, once you are feeling comfortable then you can truly enjoy and embrace the awesome ‘world’ that most people don’t get to see. There is a hive of activity going on under the sea that helps to keep our eco system in check with all sorts of wildlife, some of which you may have never seen before, even if you have, seeing them in their natural habitat on the sea bed for the first time takes your breath away.
Foil boarding
You may never have heard of this one before and you wouldn’t be alone, first thoughts are surfing or, boarding on foil but, it’s actually more impressive than that! A foil board is essentially a surf board but with big fins on the bottom that allow the board to rise out of the water when it gets up to speed creating the impression of hovering on the water. People who have tried it say that it feels really odd because it almost feels like you are floating. When talking about foil boarding, consider a hydrofoil vessel which uses the same principle to reduce drag and to enable the boat to glide over the water, same principle just that it’s you and your board.
Cliff jumping
This one is of the most desirable activities to get stuck into according to various studies although, it’s also one of the most dangerous, which suggests that people are actually less risk adverse than they might realize. If you are interested in jumping off of a cliff into the sea then, it’s crucial that you are with experienced professionals. It would be nothing short of insanity to just throw yourself off of your nearest cliff and expect everything to be ok. The chosen spot must be safe, i.e the water must be deep enough that you won’t hit the bottom and that it’s not so deep that you can’t reach the surface again safely.
