His stellar performances in the IPL got him a place on the Cricinfo IPL XI many times. He holds the record of most consecutive appearances for a team and the most number of catches (95) in the IPL. He is the first Indian Player to have hit 100 sixes in the IPL. Raina is the first and only player to have scored over 400 runs in 7 consecutives (2008-2014) IPL seasons. With a track record like this, Raina is undoubtedly CSK’s treasure. His replacement is going to be difficult for the team. But let us not forget that Thala Dhoni is a mastermind and will surely up his game to cover up for the absence.
